Benedict the XVI makes relevent the gifts of the Holy Spirit
By NetworkNews on 8/19/2008 11:06 PM
"I would say simply: No one can give what he does not personally possess; in other words we cannot pass on the Holy Spirit effectively or make him perceptible to others unless we ourselves are close to him."

Dolores Milazzo Hicks -The Senate Sting
By NetworkNews on 6/5/2008 12:31 PM
Thursday, June 5, 2008 It is the early morning hours on the floor of the senate when Senator Harry Reid yields the floor to Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama. What you have to understand is that the Republican’s had insisted on the complete and lengthy reading of the Global Warming Bill. (chuckle) I was encouraged by the common sense approach of Senator Sessions to this very complex Global Warming bill brought before the senate by Senator Barbara Boxer of California. *(see text below)

Archbishop Rebukes Obama Advisor
By NetworkNews on 5/13/2008 1:12 AM
It is difficult for me to understand how anyone who knows and believes in the Judeo-Christian foundation upon which our nation established; or acknowledges the scriptures as the word of God (i.e., Psalm 139) could view abortion as anything but a deliberate destruction of the child within the mother’s womb.

This week is different from all the rest.
By NetworkNews on 3/16/2008 9:39 PM
This week is different from all the rest. We are pilgrims reflecting on the most powerful week in the history of the universe. Palm Sunday we see the triumphant procession into Jerusalem, "The very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and strewed them on the road. The crowds preceding him and those following kept crying out and saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David; blessed is the he who comes in the name of the Lord; hosanna in the highest.”

Email to Comedy Central concerning "Lewis Black’s Root of All Evil"
By NetworkNews on 3/14/2008 12:08 PM
Last night, Comedy Central aired the first show in a new series, “Lewis Black’s Root of All Evil.” Black played a judge ruling on who was more evil—the Catholic Church or Oprah Winfrey. Remarks about the Catholic Church, the Pope and the mother of Jesus Christ were despicable and needlessly disrespectful-for what - a laugh, a political agenda, a hatred of God? I would say all of the above and what is more astounding is that none of it was funny or informative and a useless diatribe.
