49 DAYS FOR LIFE SEPTEMBER 22-OCTOBER
|
|
40 Days for LIFE is a focused prayerful event that consists of:
40 days of prayer and fasting
40 days of peaceful vigil
40 days of community outreach
Join us to participate in the largest, most widespread coordinated pro-life outreach ever! More than 200 cities in 45 American states, 5 Canadian provinces ... plus Denmark ... are poised to launch 40 Days for Life campaigns in their communities.
"There will be campaigns in at least 212 communites," said David Bereit, 40 Days for Life's national director. "Last fall's campaign was conducted in 177 cities. This shows that support for the pro-life message is spreading — and that 40 Days for Life continues to have a positive international impact."

40 DAYS FOR LIFE BIRMINGHAM
RALLY FOR LIFE
DATE: TUESDAY, 21 September 2010
TIME: 7:00 PM
WHERE: St. Peter the Apostle Church, Hoover, AL
This campaign that has come to Birmingham (as well as Huntsville & Tuscaloosa, and Mobile!), is a vibrant, unique, peaceful and overwhelmingly effective campaign.
It’s the 40 Days for Life!
Occurring all over the nation & world, 40 Days for Life unites local communities to stand for LIFE.
According to our 40 DFL leaders in Mobile: "Over the past 3 campaigns in Mobile, over 40 babies and mothers were saved from the pain of abortion, and numerous abortion workers have come to tell those in peaceful vigil in front of Mobile’s abortion business that they couldn’t do it anymore. They decided to quit their work at the abortion site through our peaceful witness of prayer!" (even the abortionist quit later this spring!)
Birmingham held the first 40 DFL campaign in the Fall of 2008. Since then, Huntsville, Tuscaloosa, Mobile, and Montgomery have held campaigns. Adding all the babies saved in the 4 AL cities since the Fall of 2008, upwards of 100 AL babies have been saved through the 40 DFL campaigns!
3 components make up this peaceful 40 Day campaign: Prayer and Fasting, Community Outreach, and Peaceful Prayerful Vigil at abortion sites from 22 September to 31 October. Let’s join together to take a STAND for Life by joining this RALLY FOR LIFE on the 21st, and the 40 Days for Life that follow! Register at www.40daysforlife.com/birmingham
Bishop Baker (& Archbishop Rodi) has endorsed this 40 Days for Life campaign. Our parishes should all be taking part in 40 Days of Prayer and in Novenas of Masses offered for “An end of abortion throughout the Archdiocese, and for the conversion of the hearts of all involved.”
We need ALL OF ALABAMA to show their support of this incredible, life-saving ministry!
Join us!
